I believe exfoliation is one of the most important steps in maintaining beautiful, healthy-looking skin.

Every day, dead skin cells collect on the surface of our skin. When they are not properly removed, the complexion can begin to look dull, dry, rough, uneven, patchy and sometimes even more lined than it really is. Pores can appear more congested, pigmentation can look more noticeable, and the skin simply loses that fresh, smooth glow.

But there is another reason exfoliation matters so much: your skincare can only do so much when it is sitting on top of layers of dead skin.

You can spend hundreds of dollars on beautiful serums, creams and treatments, but if the surface of the skin is congested with buildup, those products may not perform as effectively as they could on properly exfoliated skin.

Professional exfoliation helps remove that buildup and reveal the fresher-looking skin beneath it. It can improve the appearance of rough texture, clogged pores, superficial hyperpigmentation and sun damage while supporting healthy cell turnover.
